Being unable to resist boxes of potentially useful stuff for low prices, I bought this: ebay link  ( dead link 05-10-21 )
recently for $35 incl shipping.  It arrived this afternoon.  The handsets are mostly pretty rough, but I think that I probably got my money's worth.

The two most valuable handsets are AE type 38s.  One has the built-in inductor coil.  Looking at the AE32 diagram from the TCI library, I saw that this handset simply connected to L1 and L2 through the hook switch and dial, so for fun I connected the handset directly to my phone line, and it worked well.

The other AE type 38 is the type with "A.E." molded into the grip.  It has the converted transmitter with the lousy spring contacts.  The rear contact was bent a bit but not broken off.

The handset in the picture with no caps is a Leich.  If anyone needs it, please contact me.  I doubt that I can use it without the caps.
