Let's revive this topic to see what is up in the world of coloured AE sets!
Back on August 18 this Jade Green AE 40 with chrome trim sold for $776.
Case looks like it has seen some use over the years.
Extensicord looks good.
Has a frequency ringer though.
Wait another few weeks until September 12, 2017 and you could have bought a similar Jade a green with chrome trim AE 40 but inflation has set in. This one is $136 more than last months at $912. No idea about the ringer in this one but the handset cord is NOT the Extensicord on the one last month.
Okay, time for the Find of the Month YEAR.
Another seller hoping some "fool and his money" will happen along and part with $200 BIN on the motley, discoloured old phone. The only one who parted with money on this one was the seller...to the tune of $500 to $3000 depending on the mood of the Coloured AE 40 buyers in September.
According to the base coding it should have a SL ringer inside and it has the correct H color code for a Orchid.
$200 BIN for a very rare Orchisd AE 40 with chrome trim on September 19. Where was I that day?
Terry
That brings us up to October 16 when this Red 40 with chrome trim left Harry's neighbourhood (Florida) for $239.
The dial may have issues unless it is one of those strange European dials.
It looks a little rough, a careless smoker must have received bad news by phone when they put that burn in the handset.
Then they set it in the bathtub for a year or so which took its toll on the base.
But...it is still A RED AE 40!
