I'm considering purchasing a Dutch PTT Type 51 Tafael telephone, but it is missing the receiver and transmitter elements.

The handset looks like a WE F1 type; Would it take the same receiver and transmitter elements as the WE F1Type?

The guts from a F1 will not fit.The parts are standard europiean .Other Dutch or German capsules should fit.

302lover,

Note that the three common (black) models of Dutch PTT phones appear regularly on ebay and, with a bit of patience, can be bought cheaply ($10-$25).  I see them frequently on craigslist, in antiques shops, and elsewhere for much higher prices, but there is no need to pay so much.  They are really not worth alot.

Do you have photos of the receiver and transmitter elements so I'd have an idea of what to look for?
