It's been quite a while since our last contest, and this gem is a great way to get back in the swing of things. Thanks to Harry for the contest subject suggestion!

Lest anyone think I've "outed" a potential sleeper, the seller has apparently already been inundated with offers and BIN pleas, so it has definitely not gone unnoticed.

You forgot to mention he also has a matching Blue 500, which I am thinking will go about half the 554

That may seem right, but my experience is the desk phones have a larger appeal than the wallphones. Witness that the 500 has been bid to a level almost five times that of the 554. And it's obvious it has been used, & the 554 has not. Don't forget the 500 that sold for $600+ last weekend. I'll make a guess of $275.00.

A few years ago a Mediterranean Blue 554 that was in near mint condition (I don't remember if it was said to be new old stock) sold for over $800. I've been looking through my photo folders for the images that I saved of that phone. So far I haven't been able to find them. Prices generally are down since that time---of course that last 500 that Jester spoke of is an exception to that rule. I agree with Jester that the desk versions sell higher than the wall phone counter parts. I'm going to take the higher road and guess $728.

I have seen many MedBlue 500s since 2007, when I got bitten by the phone bug, but this is the second 554 in that color that I have seen in Fleabay.
