Nothing's easy...

Plantronics headsets are simple things that essentially intercept a corded phone's handset cord. Wonderful quality. The switch on the headset toggles between the handset or headset.

However...when I hook it up to the 500 I can hear you but you can't hear me.

I think it has something to do with the rotary dial since the heaset works fine with a number of other corded phones including a '70s touch tone model I have.

Got my heart set on giving the old Rotary a new use. Any thoughts?

Your plantronic unit might have a switch to switch from a electrict to a carbon circuit, also see it it needs a battery
