The 2014 show is April 18, 19 2014
There was a change in date for Next year's show.
Jerry Williams just advised me.
"Originally I had it down for the 18-19 of April 2014, but since that is Easter weekend I changed to date to May 2-3, 2014 so mark your calendars for that date. I will be putting the new date on my web site."

The Abilene, KS show is on Friday and Saturday of this week. If you show up look for up. My table is probably to the left of the stage and I probably won't be at it for most of the show.

This show is coming up @ the end of the month. It is a great show to attend. Rooms are cheap and so are telephones. The museum of Independent telephony is also in Abilene, KS.

The KS telephone show is May 1 and 2015. The usual suspects will be in attendance. This show is a great place to buy phones and parts VERY cheaply. There are a lot of long time collectors who attend.
For any newer collectors attending. I would suggest driving the largest vehicle you have access to and bring cash and bubble wrap.

The show is this Friday.
I have only gotten 2 phones since the last show. A damaged clear WE2500 set for $1.00 and a plain top, plain front WE wooden wall set for free.
Friday I am going to get my buying caught up.

I am back from the show.
My cost were: $92.00 for 2 nights in a cheap hotel.
37 gallons of gas for less than $100.
admission, 2 tables and dinner $50.00.
About $500 for purchases
Going to my 25th+ telephone show "PRICELESS"
There was a small turnout this year which kept purchases down and conversations prolonged which is always fun

About $500 for purchases which highlights include:
a brown WE 500 asking $175 paid $135
Telephone booth sign on post asking 150, down to $125. I turned it down but decided to get it by the time I got home so offering $150 for sign and $50 show donation. To be picked up next May 6-7.(part of the $500.00)
10 asst. cords @ 8ea $40 for all. Some telephone cleaning products (arrow-magnolia)
2 AE 90's in black, black 554, AE 3 line, and a badly faded pink KE 500 for $.25 each. total 5 phones for $1.25.

1969 Bell emblem sign in aluminum(about 2' round" $20.00
some bsp's
SC 554 mini-wall in bright orange $15.00
I also picked up a black 500 a/b for $25.00 on my way to the show and a crème SC 1543 for $30.00 on my way home. (part of the $500.00).

Lots of fellowship and good conversation.

I gave away a lot of items as well.
A good time was had by all.

I have no idea where my camera is. The lens on my cell phone is cracked so I don't use that camera.
I did get a reply on the phone sign, so $ is on the way and I will pick it up next Year.
The show next year is May 6-7 2016.

The Abilene, KS show is coming up soon. Saturday May 7, 2016 is the show. Set-up is on Friday night (May 6). It is better to make the setup and show vs just the show.

If anyone is going I would appreciate it if you could keep an eye out for some Red WE G3 handsets! I am still in need of 5 handsets to go with the Red color change kits I found. Cords & elements not needed, just plastics. If you find some please let me know ASAP! Or just pick them up, I promise to buy them, as long as prices are reasonable. I will also give you a finders fee!

For those of you that will be coming to the show in Abilene, Ks., May 5 & 6 you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. As you know I will be closing the doors to the show for 2 hrs on the 5th from 5 to 7pm and then reopening the hall, to finish setting up and sales. I have just made arrangements with the Telephony Museum in Abilene to have a little get together during that time at the museum. This will include opening up the carousel out in back of the museum for anyone to who would wish to ride it. There will be finger food and drinks available during the get together. John Huckeby will be putting something about it in the next news letter. Thanks for your support.
