Title: Dialor 2 number order switching?
Post by: bolt on January 15, 2023, 03:33:41 PM
Is anyone else using these? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32833696892.html

They work brilliantly on my 1234567890 (least to most clicks) order phones, but I have some older 9876543210 order ones, which obviously come out all wrong.

The description of this box says
QuoteSupport for the dialing of the other three types of numbers that were not standardized before the early 1930s, for example; 0987654321; 9876543210; 0123456789;

However, I can't figure out how to do this. I auto translated a manual I found for it, and that also didn't seem to state how to do this.

Does anyone know?

I've got one of these and didn't know it was supposed to be able to support different dial types. I've just tried surging for instructions too but can't find anything.

If you find out how, I would like to try the Swedish dial on mine. I did not know about the possibility.

I tracked down the actual creator mentioned in the documentation, known as cyg999 and send off an email.
This is what I got back:

QuoteHello, dial  9  and hold it for about 10 seconds, then let it go.
DIALOR2 will recognize your telephone. If the type of DIALOR2
 you bought is GLOBAL.

I tried it on my board, and with a 9876543210 phone. It went "beep", then actually switched. It works! :D
