For this week's auction, we have a telephone that is popular among collectors.  It's the Stromberg Carlson model 1212 desk telephone, called by some the "fatboy."  This manual service version appears complete, is black in color, and is very reasonably priced (for now).

I had actually thought about posting that one, but I wasn't sure about the originality of the paint.  I'd never seen one in color before.

Yup, they produced them in color just like W.E. In fact, I know A.E. also produced many of their early phones in color. Now is that white SC original? Not sure, but, looking at the paint chips. It looks like it's fairly old. I'd bet it is.
