Soon after I sent this week's newsletter is write for the genealogy portion of my web site, I went back to bed for a little while.

A short time later, Linda woke me up and said, 'I know you aren't going to believe me, but we have two beautiful horses in our yard!", True enough, I looked out, and there were our next door neighbours two horses feasting on the grass left bare by the melting snow the past couple of days. They were just visible as they foraged alongside the museum.

Linda went downstairs to call the Vissers to let them know where their strays had wound up, but by the time she got down, they had already noticed, and come down, told them to go home, and they both obediently headed back up the road, and trotted to their paddock :-)

It was the first time a horse has been on our property in 60 years or more! Somehow, though, it looked just right! 60 years ago, it wouldn't have been two unusual to see a couple of horses parked in the driveway of a rural PEI home :)

An interesting diversion on a Friday morning.
