For not much more, Steve can probably sell you the missing parts to make this into a working phone, or you could watch for a typically badly damaged red bar for cheap.

The two buttons will give the phone some added character.

Full marks for creativity! Too bad it wasn't a wall mounted set, it could be an Art Deco dual garage door controller. You might consider ebaYing it as such!
