New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Just listed in a 7 day auction with no reserve is a very old (early 1937) vented black 302 with an E1 handset. In recent contests, we've had an Old Rose, Pekin Red and an Ivory 302 so why not add a Black 302 to the contest color wheel of 302s. It was listed at a reasonable $50.00 plus $25.00 for shipping and within the first hour has received two bids. We know this phone is worth more than that but how much more. So, once again, the question is who best knows what this phone will sell for when the auction ends?

The seller listed it as an "Very rare first issue 1937 "vented" western electric 302 all original" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " with the auction listing description simply as "This is a 100% original 1937 first issue vented 302. Please look at the pictures and you will notice that every part that should be dated, is and matches the phone perfectly. Both cords are original and in great shape. I'm not an expert so please look at the pictures and ask all questions before bidding. The phone is very heavy and made of metal."

NOTE: we will use a 3% gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, guess gaps of 6+% can be split. I'll help with these as the auction goes forward and guesses are entered. As always, the guessing window closes 24 hours before the auction ends so get your guesses in at least one day before the auction ends.

It's another chance to move up a rung or to get onto the CRPF -> Contest Standings <- list,

. . . for as twocvbloke said,   ---> "You gotta be in it to win it !!!" ;D "
