Thanks, mine has the f-1  transmitter, not the bullet. I will be working on this and will post pics when done. :)

I may be in the minority, but I don't like the look of the E1 on a 302.  The F1 looks much more elegant.

Also, the receiver element (557?) in the E1 is definitely inferior to crystal clarity of the HA1 element on the F1.   I find mine to be way too hollow and squawky, and the distant party is often difficult to understand.  Your wife will absolutely notice a significant decrease in reception quality, and so will you.  If the 302 is already on thin ice with her, this will sink it altogether.

My advice is to use the E1 on a D1 base instead, if you have one.  People will expect a more old timey experience from such a phone anyway.
