I just wanted to let anyone who had been awaiting a reply from me know that i have just gotten out of Hospital after being forced to stay there due to a pneumonia infection and high temperatures and resulting  loss of body fluid and crazy electrolyte levels. Friday which was a day with 36 degree C temperatures, I was totally freezing and was as weak as a newborn kitten. I am doing fairly well now but it may take me a few days to get back to normal. What a shock when I got home - I had 467 emails sitting here waiting for me!  So, it will take time to catch up, but I will!

I think I coughed him up! At least I can breathe a lot better now! Actually the funny thing is my cats here wouldn't even speak to Linda while I was in hospital, then when I got in the door, they practically mugged me!

You had better believe I am glad to be home, too! The worst thing is at the best of times I have to walk with a cane - Friday, I couldn't even support myself on the cane or get in or out of a wheelchair without several people helping! I have never felt so helpless!

Imagine, all that being caused by pneumonia and dehydration! A couple of day on IV and antibiotics have turned it around.

But I got home today, still feeling somewhat weak, but at least now we know what was causing it, and my strength is returning, and to top that all off, there was a new phone waiting for me in the mail.

So though I am still going to take a while to re-gain my strength, all is right in the world again!

I thought my email box seemed a little quiet, now I know why! I have been running around like crazy here in every direction and there you were taking it easy in hospital! Now get back to work... :)

Just sitting back and taking it easy now, and cleaning up the AE phone which arrived this morning.

Thank goodness i had that to look forward to as I was pretty frustrated in Hospital. I am still pretty weak, but starting to feel better...

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes. I have to tell you, I had the best night's sleep I have had in a good six months last night, breathing freely, and slept for over 6 hours without waking up once. Now, that is a very big improvement, as my norm lately has been to be able to sleep no longer than 2 hours and I wake up. No more rattle when I breathe, and I no longer seem to have the heaviness in my chest. I never realized that pneumonia could also cause all the other problems I had Friday..

I am still weak - that no doubt will take a few days to recover, but otherwise am feeling better than I have for such a long time!

So, again, thanks all!

Sorry to hear that you've been ill, Dave. That pneumonia is a tough thing! Glad to hear that you're on the mend, though. Just take it easy and let yourself heal. Oh, and, of course, the obligatory "drink plenty of fluids". You'll be right in no time!

Take care,

Bob
