Title: European phone ID
Post by: Greg G. on September 27, 2015, 02:17:09 PM
A co-working sent me these pics and wanted to know what kind of phone this is.  I see the name L.M. Ericsson on the side, which sounds familiar, but more particulars are wanted, such as model, country, era it hails from.

The telephone is an Swedish Erisson 1920'ish Take a look here: http://tinyurl.com/o7crzwh   (http://tinyurl.com/o7crzwh)I would guess on this: http://tinyurl.com/pga3x3g It has been used in Norway by the Telco: A/S Kristiansunds Telefonselskap (The telco of the city of Kristiansund) (1894-1964 Nationalized in 1964, about 4000 subscribers)
The cords and plug seems original, and may even be more rare than the phone.  The 3 prongs may be used with the 2 close prongs for the line, and the 3rd for grounded ringing.  Should work in US but may draw around 2 REN.
