New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Just listed in a 5 day auction with, yes, a reserve and starting at $9.99 is this interesting 3 boxer with Blake transmitter and long pole receiver. The phone has 3 bids and is now up to $90.99. I think it will go higher. Will it exceed the reserve? I hope so. I'm thinking there has to be an upside that exceeds the reserve so, once again, who best knows what this phone will sell for when the actions ends?

NOTE:  This is 5 day auction with just under 4 days left to get your guesses in from this initial topic posting.

The seller listed it as an "RARE 3 box Manhattan wood wall phone with longpole receiver, blake transmitter" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " with the auction listing description simply saying "Rare 3 box Manhattan wood wall phone with longpole receiver.  Bells rings when crank is turned"

As with all reserve auctions, the right is hereby reserved to cancel this auction completely with no winner if the auction bids DO NOT exceed the reserve, whatever that might be, when the eBay auction ends.

NOTE: we will use a 2% gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, guess gaps of 4+% can be split. I'll help with these as the auction goes forward and guesses are entered. Since it seems the membership who guess know what this phone will sell for (the way the early guesses were grouping up in the mid-$2,000 range, I lowered the initial contest gap of 3% to 2% to allow more guesses.

It's another chance to move up a rung or to get onto the CRPF -> Contest Standings <- list,

. . . for as twocvbloke said,   ---> "You gotta be in it to win it !!!" ;D "

$2,800.00.
I think it should go at least this high if not more. But the demand for wood is not great. If one of the deep pockets does not jump in it probably won't meet reserve

Here's the 2% "no crowding" gap spreadsheet for this contest with 6 guesses.

Available guesses or guess ranges are shown in GREEN within the small upper right black bordered box.

( click on the table to enlarge the image )

NOTE:  The gap has been reduced to 2% to allow more guesses within the "member's have seemed to nail the final selling price" range.
