New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Just listed in a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at $17.00 is what appears to be a WECo prototype "Compact Wall" or "Slimphone." The phone has attracted 2 bidders in the first few hours of being listed and they have increased the price to $56.00. There is going to be an upside to the current price but once again, how much "up" becomes the question.

NOTE: we will use a 3% gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, guess gaps of 6+% can be split. I'll help with these as the auction goes forward and guesses are entered.

So, once again, who best knows what this phone will sell for when the actions ends? This should be an interesting contest.

The seller listed it as an "UNKNOWN western electric BELL System Telephone # F-52937 WALL Phone NO DIAL 1958" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " with the auction listing description saying "For Sale this Auction: Don't know anything about this phone other what you can see in photos. It is in good condition, hand set has couple small stain spots(see photos). Selling as Untested As Is As Found. Purchased a group of phones from a local estate sale of gentleman who work for Bell Laboratories from 1950's to late 70's. I'll be listing several this week."

There's also a Schmoo phone from the same seller.  2 of the same participants bidding on both...  Somebody's gonna make some money... (another auction contest?)

Anyway, put me down for $360 for this one...
