Got this in yesterday. I took a gamble in buying it. In the pics it was very shiny and I saw cloth cords and an original junction box.

Please note I have done nothing to this Phone yet, other than having a good look at it.

I have a lot of these phones. About 20 at the moment. For restoring and selling. There was absolutely no need to buy this, but the gleem and the price made me do it.

I've very seldom seen one so shiny without restoration. I guess it spent most of its life in the dark. This one goes into my collection and not on my stock pile-

It almost perfect. Everything is there, almost all dates match. Only the receiver cap has been replaced with an exact same one, only not made by Heemaf. I'll replace that one with a Heemaf one.

Sadly the handset cord is damaged beyond repair. I'll have to replace that. The hunt is now on for an original one.

Price? 10 euros. Shipping 6.75 euros.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

That phone looks very nice and much shinier than mine.  I am surprised that a phone made in 1962 had cloth cords.

Yes, the used cloth cords untill quite late. I´ve heard say they use cloth on all phones originally and the coiled vinyl cords were retrofitted.

I´m not sure about that. I haven´t been able to determine if the later production models had coiled vinyl. I´ve seen pictures from the sixties in which there were several phones with a mix of cords. So the coiled cords were not all from the 70ies, when production of such bakelite phones had ended.

About the sheen: it is virtually new. I have a Heemaf 1955, pushbutton version, that I know was never used and spent most of its life in a cupboard. That has the same gleem.

My Heemaf is dated 64 and has vinyl cords with a coiled handset cord.

Is there a paper label pasted to the underside? That means it was refurbished. These cords may very well be replacements.
