Title: Gold Anniversaty Payphone??
Post by: HarrySmith on October 18, 2017, 01:35:45 PM
While browsing eBay I came across a supposed Pac Bell Gold Anniversary Payphone. A question for our patphone guru's, is this an actual special issue payphone? Is it something special? is it worth the asking price?

i would think any 3 slot if complete would be worth the $125. I have a single slot in gold/brass

I doubt that Pacific Bell ever used Automatic Electric pay phones.

Looks like a really bad, old homebrew. Notice how the dial plate isn't the typical reverse-painted style that both AE and WE used on specialty-color phones. The only parts of this phone that are gold are the parts that are able to be plated. They didn't bother trying to paint any of the plastic or neoprene parts.

Also, the footpads are a nice touch! :o
