New Display 302, 5302 500

I was inspired by a recent post from another member who recently acquired a 302 for his display on the progression from 302 to 5302 to 500. I already had the three phones but did not have them together. I had my 302 on a display stand in the hallway and recently got a hold of 2 more phone display stands so........

Harry....very cool. FYI the 500 set came before the 5302. 5302 was made from 302 parts because WE could not keep up with the public's demand of 500 sets. WE was the master of using their old stock and made them look like a 500 set. Still, a very cool display...Doug

I remember a discussion about when 5302's were produced but forget the details, is there any definite dates on poduction runs? Mine is dated 1960.

My other one, which I am currently restoring is dated 1959. The housings I have are dated; 1957, 1959(2) & 1962(2) plus 2 unmarked.

I like it! Yes, I want to do something similar, showing how the 5302 is a 302 in disguise. I wish I could go as far as to be able to show them from above, below, and inside too, but maybe I can just use photographs as the backdrop of the display.

Yes, some way of showing it would be good. I already was thinking along those lines as I had to explain it all to my wife to get the idea of the display across. That was within 1 hour of putting it up. Nobody else has seen it yet. Pictures would work but 3 of each phone would be better

I should just build a small museum in my back yard dedicated to the 5302 and its frugal, convoluted history.
