I've seen an AE34 with a carry grip.  Here's mine:

Doug Rose ,
AE-  34 A11 . The Singing Wires had a article about it lately (ok last year)  but I forgot what month.     stub

I have had several of these and still have one. They had to have been a late or transitional model.

See Singing Wires April 2011, page 4.  Or could it be a 34A3B?  There is still some speculation regarding the set's pedigree, so any additional info is welcome.

paul-f ,
The 34 A3B used the 41 style handset and the base molding was changed to accommodate said handset and no carrying hole in the back.  AE Catalog 4055 C pg. 16    stub

It isn't yours?! I don't know who that is that bought it for $76.
darn...don't know how I missed this one...

Dave F:
I knew the exact thread I was going to before I clicked on the link you posted above, another heart breaker. Still have a significantly better 34 to trade for it!

Terry...I couldn't get past the damage. I was tempted in in thinking I could repair it, but it is a tad above my creative ability...Doug

Yeah,  I saw this auction.  I too could not get past the damage.  I'm being very patient on waiting for the right AE34 to come along as I don't want to spend too much as I have done with other phones in the past.
