Dennis' shiny new Oxidized Silver 302 prompted me to show pictures of my own metallic 302, a 1939 Dark Gold, since I never got around to answering questions about it in a previous thread.

This phone was probably originally used by the same person (and sat in the same spot) for a very long time. It has a very strange hand-shaped wear mark that pretty much takes over the entire handset, which wore through the gold paint layer. Other than a lot of wear on the receiver cap and a few chips in the cradle, there are pretty much no other scratches or chips anywhere on the entire body! The original gold cords are in really good shape, the best condition original cloth cords I have ever seen! This phone was refurbed in the very early fifties with clear plungers and a clear open-center fingerwheel.

What metallic 302s do you guys have in your collections? Let's see them!
