The other day I got a call from an electrician friend of mine asking me if I had an old phone for sale. I told him of course, I have plenty, what are you looking for? He told me just a plain old black phone that would have been used in the 1960's. I pulled a 1964 500 from my pile of black 500's and cleaned it up. Cleaned up pretty good. he picked it up and told me the reason she wanted one is she just bought a house that is like a time capsule, furnished straight out of the 60's and she wanted a working phone to go along with it. I asked about her phone service and he said she has a regular old landline so it will work fine. One more old phone back in use!
