Whats the difference between 302 & 304?

Whats the difference between the 302 & 304? They look the same to me.

302 for a private telephone line, 304 for a 4 party telephone line.The wireing is different inside but they look the same.

Thank you. Thats what I assumed but I saw references to folks saying it was one or the other by the looks of the outside.

Boy did I hate BSP's when I was a lineman in the 50's and early 60's. The Foreman would save them all up for us to file on a rainy day. Of course when I became a Forman I did the same thing to the new guys.
