Thanks to Duffy who posted this schematic (http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=18547.0) found inside of a Stromberg Carlson "Hands Free" Telephone circa 1960s.
Thanks to unbeldi for the period ad (http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=18547.msg191273#msg191273) and Doug for the after images (http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=18547.msg191394#msg191394).
Where the schematic was found in the phone. I never noticed it when I first had the phone open to take the pictures. I was looking at the pictures the next day and spotted it then.

That is the typical location in Stromberg-Carlson telephones for storing the diagrams. IIRC, they are the largest diagrams of any of the manufacturers, folded down into a little bundle.
