I was afraid of that. Hope you did not pay much for it.

I was at a 2nd hand shop yesterday and saw this telephone. It reminded me of the one in this thread.

For me it was a chance to inspect one of these up close. To my surprise the handset, the cradle and that metallic bell on top of the body shell were made of plastic!

And the finger wheel was made of tin so thin, I thing it will deform if you turn it too vehemently.

And they wanted a whopping 35 euro for it.

Unfortunately no writing on it. No maker, date, etc.

It's a pity there is so little info on these fakes on the internet. It makes it hard to spot the fakes, sometimes.

UPDATE: I opened a complaint on the Goodwill auction web site and Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey accepted the return and even paid for the return shipping. I was pleasantly surprised.
