Anybody live near Minneapolis?  There's a nice wooden booth going for only $250, which is an absolute steal.  I only wish I lived close enough to drive over.

I also spotted one like Russ's in Phoenix, AZ, and they only want $350!!

Hello Russ,

It is indeed a great booth. Do send us a picture when you have installed the payphone.

$250-350 for a locaql wood booth is really about all most of them end up going for.
Sometimes you can pick up these space hogs for $150.00.

If you are buying local make them a lowish offer and check back every couple of weeks.
You can probably get a good deal on 1.

The same theory applies to switchboards.

The reason I mentioned $350 as a good deal on a booth similar to Russ's, is because those are 1970s/80s products of the Pulaski Furniture Keepsakes Collection, and were quite the hot item in their time.  They're still collectible as fine furniture in their own right.

She's a beaut!

But a chrome payphone? Taste varies, but my choice would be a black 3-slot...
Still, a beautiful piece of woodwork.

There used to be a hotel on Martha's Vineyard that had two old wooden booths leftover from when they had payphones. Can't remember what they were being used for -- quiet spaces for cellphone or laptops, perhaps. Anyway, the hotel was sold, they're gone, because the new owner "redecorated"...:-(
