Dear CRPF :

Good Morning, I need a receiver cap for a old style Leich 1C handset, please.

I accidentally dropped my receiver cap, and need a replacement one.

I finally got the Steve Hilsz painless wiring book, so I'm going to get busy working on my Leich 90 again as soon as possible.

If anyone in CRPF has the receiver cap, please PM and let me know.

All replies acknowledged with Thanks.

If the original cap is not too severely broken, you should be able to repair it with cyanoacrylate super glue.  It works very well on bakelite.  Otherwise, here is a complete handset for sale: www.ebay.com/itm/363931018274.  I also might have a spare handset here somewhere in my mess.

I took a look through a pile of handsets, but I did not find an older style Leich.  Sorry.

That's OK, I've got F1 handsets I can substitute, it'll be the Frankenphone route, but I'm used to it.

Hi, I found the piece that came off my earpiece cap and repaired it.

I super glued the piece in, and filled minor gaps w JB Weld.

So unless I goofed something, I should have a usable cap by tomorrow.
