The base is a reproduction WE base and bottom cover. The handset is an AE type 41 with custom brass rings added. Dial is AE, Cradle is off an ATEA  set (belgium AE). The base is solid brass  it will polish nicely.Cradle is plated so be carefull. I might have built that set. I do not remember what they sold for but they usually sell for over $100.00

Again I will say, that combination of parts made a very handsome phone. Can't wait to see it all polished up. Just be sure not to be aggressive on the plated cradle.

Thanks guys, I will be very careful of the cradle.

This phone will fit nicely into my newly forming 'shinies' display.  :)

Don't forget the Duck.

One more thing. Some were  built with AE mini networks and others wired in series. Some with crummy buzzers, others with an electronic ringer.

Was the difference based on price or time frame?

Do you have any of the old catalogs or price lists for their products? It would be good info to have available.

Did not save any catalogs. Possibly that the chicago old telephone website might be cashed in the internet wayback site.

Ahhh nooo, you can't forget the Duck! ;D

I ask visitors who are allowed to view the phones to point to their 3 favourites. Mr Duck, without exception, is always one of them.  :D
