Did anyone see these?  A pair of statuary bronze B1s on ebay, one manual, and one dial.  I thought it was interesting that the finger wheel is painted to match on the one with the dial.  A bit pricey for the opening bid ($1200)!

They have appeared before and nobody wanted them at that price (or from that vendor).

Yeah. Listed before with no takers and I would bet none again at that price!

Jim, 2H dials on B1s had the cases and finger wheels painted to match the phone. A statuary bronze B1B had, for example, a 2HB-7 dial, where -7 is the color code for statuary bronze.

The same  is true for 4H dials on D1s made before 1937.  4J and 5J dials, with white cases and stainless steel finger wheels, were introduced c. 1937.

The 1935 WE catalog #9 contains the following info:

4H-type Dials, "E" Type Hand Sets, and Handset Mountings (C, D, and E types) are available in the following colors:

-3 Black
-4 Ivory
-5 Gray
-6 Old Brass
-7 Statuary Bronze
-8 Oxidized Silver
-11 Medium Gold
-12 Dark Gold
