Sometimes the "rare" auctions are so very amusing!

The seller does say it's a hard to find item.....how many 354 Desk Phones have we seen?

and it is plastic circa era 1937-1941.weren't they all metal that early?

I haven't tried selling anything on ebay, but IMO descriptive words such as "rare", "art deco" :P or even "original" are tired, overused & too subjective to belong in the auction heading.  I like the Jack Webb approach--"Just the facts, ma'am".  If a description is desired or needed, I'd save it for the paragraph that accompanies the picture.  And, instead of rare, terms like "uncommon" or "few listed" seem more accurate to me.

That's the rarest one of them all!

Just because an auction is not "well done" does not make it "rare", to use backyard BBQ terminology.
