A vintage 1977 Chinese rotary.  Not a bad looking phone.  If it weren't for the price and the location...

Is this bakelite? I like the look

According to the description it is Bakelite.  He relisted it and actually raised the price by $9.  Was $79.99, now it's listed as $89.00.  If it doesn't sell the first time, raise the price?

I would be very nervous about trusting something like that to arrive unscathed all the way from Shanghai.  With shipping it's $124.80.  If it were in the states, I would be tempted.  At least state-side the shipping cost wouldn't be as much.

This phone looks like the STC phones http://www.britishtelephones.com/stc2724.htm which were made in a number of places by various manufacturers.   I have seen these an ebay a couple of times before from sellers much closer than Shanghai.
