Big Day in the Museum!

Today was a big day's work in the museum. This morning, I re-mounted the 1938 plate on the LIU trailer, and added its signs, a Telephone Company of Prince Edward Island, and a Telephone Service sign.

Last Saturday, Robert Guth came down and poured a concrete base for the Benner Nawman BN7500A booth, and this afternoon, I got it mounted with the help of a couple of friends. It is located next to the front door of the Museum, and next to my NT Superman booth.

Still some clean-up to do around the booth, and I still have to mount a phone in it, but glad it is done!

Exhausted tonight!

A busy day there Dave! And your weather was a LOT better than ours out west, the rain was coming down sideways here all day long.

And a lovely day today too, and for the next few. It is supposed to go up to 37 deg. c. with wall to wall sun for the next few. I have already been out and shoveled away the pile of earth left over from the excavation for the slab, and cleaning the earth off the sidewalk around the booth. Work still planned to today, further cleaning of the booth, neatening up its wiring, and putting away tools. I am exhausted today, so may not get a lot more done than that. However, I find I last longer on bright sunny days!

Dave, it looks like you are having fun doing the work.  That's always a plus.  I like how the license plate matches the trailer.  Enjoy the summer weather.

Yes, that definitely was a plus! And the weather keeps on going - it is 26 deg. c. today, 27 the next two days, and wall to wall sunshine. I got the earth from the excavation for the slab removed today, and it all cleaned up around the booth, all by 9 a.m. Taking it easy for a little while, and then time to work indie the museum. The booth has been a long term project for me - I got it two years ago when they were renovating the Lord Selkirk campground, and they took it to friends of ours to scrap it - they called me, and we wound up with it. But it has been sitting on the ground for two years.... So it is truly nice to have that finally done!.

Here are some photos I took tonight of the two exterior booths in the Museum lighted. Shown are the NE MD-9021 which I have had for some years, and the Benner Nawman BN7500AX booth just installed this week....

You really have covered some ground this year.  Those are some nice displays!
