Any matching date phone is a big bonus. I suspect the handset cord got replaced in-home by a Bell Repairman.

I will keep my eyes open for a 62 cord.
That is a nice phone.

it is a great phone isn't it  ;) it needs to be cleaned as you can see but it comes through crystal clear. I got it for 6 dollars from a guy my dad knows and I think he is gonna get another one this week or weekend. every thing matched except the dial and the handset cord but I got the 5-62 dial and now all I need is the handset cors. Even the line is 62. I love it but I keep my banjo phone in use.

Great find that all parts are even matched to the exact month.
It should clean up great.
I will look for 62 handset cord also.

It is a great phone. I am surprised you were able to find a matching date dial (so quickly), once you start matching dates it can take years to find the matching parts. Good job.

I seldom buy 500's anymore. most are worth about $1.00 to me. I will pay more for a good set. I would of bought that phone for $6.00.

It is a really nice phone,
