Hi Guys,
I recently had some brass and steel parts renickeled nicely by Dennis Hallworth. I was trying to reage these parts with some tarnish(oxidation) to make them match my existing older parts better. I was advised to use liver of sulfur so I purchased some Cool Tools Patina Gel(stabilized liver of sulfur) on Amazon. Despite  heating and leaving the  renickled screw overnight twice I am having little luck. I think the solution is too weak although I'm using it more concentrated than advised.
Any advice would be appreciated.

My wife buys chunks that are dissolved in water.  It works best on items with letters or other details.  You may need to polish the surface with fine (1500+) steel wool to provide traction for the patina to adhere to.
