I picked up this Southern New England Telephone Co. button on eBay recently.  It features an early OST receiver:

That is pretty neat. My local phone company used to be SNET and I live about 20 miles from Waterbury .. But I've never saw those or heard of Scovill Manufacturing.

The marks on the back aren't much use in narrowing down the date, but if the handset is any indication, these were used in the 1890s.  The Scovill Mfg. Co is still in business, they moved to Georgia:
