Did Northern Electric ever manufacture 51AL desk stands (dial candlesticks)? The only ones I have seen in T3 and T6 catalogs are the N50AL and N150AL:

T3 (1927)                          N50AL
T6 1st Ed  ( ?*)                 N50AL
T6 2nd Ed (1937)              N50AL and N150AL

"Calling Dials" (dials)
T3             N9 and N10
T6 1st       N13 and N14
T6 2nd      no dials listed?
T7 (1947) 5H

*date of T6 1st Ed. is shown as 1933 on TCI members' site, but it includes E1E handset with 625A transmitter, which contains an F-1 transmitter unit; also shows a 3-3 Uniphone which is the same mounting as a WE G-1 (211). The F1 transmitter unit and  211 were not being produced yet in 1933 by WE, so it's very doubtful that they were being made by NE that early.

That's what I was trying to figure out in my thread. An image search on the net revealed many 51AL and 151AL NE desk stands.  I'm wondering when they started making them?

WE made a 51-AL to simplify the wiring of their 50-AL. The 51-AL terminates the cords in the base rather than within the handle.

The NE 50-AL has a terminal block in the base already so there was no need for an NE 51.

NE upgraded their 50-AL to AST and called it a 150-AL; there was no NE 151-AL
