I generally am not attracted to wooden phone. This is only the second one in my collection. It was in pretty good shape as acquired. The nickel finish was almost completely eroded away and the overall case was dull. I had the metallic parts re-nickeled and re-finished the cabinet with the wood restorer recommended by Doug Rose, followed by a coat of Liberon wax. The long-nose pliers in the picture were just to hold the set up for the photo.

Chuck....one sharp looking intercom. Outstanding job of bringing it back to life. I think these are just so cool looking. Nice job!!...Doug

Very nice, Chuck.  You should be proud of this one.  That nickel looks great!

Nicely done!  I love wood phones.  Wood wall phones, especially intercoms and railroad stuff  are available at bargain prices on eBay and are fun to spruce up and get looking nice.  I recommend to collectors to take a break from polishing plastic and try your hand at one.
