I had time to browse a St. Vinney's yesterday on my break.  The only vintage phone item I found was part of an old children's encyclopedia set called The Book of Knowledge.  They were selling the volumes individually because it was an incomplete set (or maybe it was an incomplete set because they were selling them individually?)  Anyway, I grabbed a volume at random and opened it to a random page, which happened to fall on the "What happens when you call" page.

I can appreciate the effort that went into writing this because I know from experience that writing for children isn't easy.
