Hooking up a 425B network to an old wooden phone

A co-worker has an old NE 317-CG which he would like to turn into an extension phone.  I need to know how to hook it up. It has the generator, but it will only be used for display purposes.

Will a 425B work for this application? What I have is a transmitter, a receiver, a hookswitch pile-up and a ringer.

Can anyone tell me what wire goes where or is this just a pipe dream.

Thanks in advance......Bill

Input to network is C and RR.
Output is GN (receiver), B (transmitter), and R (common receiver/transmitter)

One way to do it:
Line connected to L1 and L2
Jumper wire from L1 to RR
Hookswitch (2 wires) to L2 and C
Receiver to GN and R
Transmitter to B and R

Fer chrissakes, my 425 has a solder C terminal.  Also how do I hook up the ringer? My hookswitch has 3 wires, one hooked up to receiver, 1 to transmitter and one loose right now.

I'm going to wait till I get another 425

Ringer connects in series with the capacitor (A and K):

One ringer lead to L1
Other ringer lead to K
Jumper from L2 to A

This capacitor (in the network) may not be large enough to get a good ring. If that is the case, you can add a second capacitor of approx. 0.5 uF to A and K --which will be in parallel with the existing capacitor.

one way to fix that stub burn "C" is to solder a spaded pig tail to is. on the older units I never understood why they soldered that connection. on the newer 425's that problem was solved.
