Filing printed BSP copies just got a lot faster.

I finally cleaned up and adjusted a paper punch I got years ago. Usually found in 2-, 3- or 4-hole versions, this heavy vintage model has 7 punches, so can punch BSPs a lot faster than my modified 2-hole punch.

It's a Wilson Jones Improved Hummer. It's mainly cast metal, and should outlast me by a loooong time.

Looks like this started life as a 4-hole punch, with three additions -- one from a different style unit.

Words are fascinating. I was interested to read that the term "hummer" has been around at least from the 1600s -- long before the vehicle.

Looking further, it has many meanings -- some of which are racy enough to give me definite pause, if responsible for picking the term to use in a product name for something like a paper punch.

I'll have to use this one the next time we're having seafood. "Want a bite of my hummer?"
