Suttle HV Buzzers

does anyone know anything about these buzzers? do they need a cap to operate correctly? I had 2 that I had hooked directly to my lines and they burnt out.... what are the specs, if anyone knows....

At COT we used them but they did not work well. If we removed the neon lamp,thermister or capacator (whichever was on the buzzer we had) and put in a larger capacator 1-1.5uf capacator they worked much better.I do not recomend this as it is an increased ringer load.The high voltage buzzers had black leads.Do not get them confused with the low voltage buzzers with blue or white leads

thanks.... at least I know I'm not the only one whos used them.... If I put a .47uf cap in series with them, will that help?

It might help but it will still be weak. that is why we used a larger capacator
