Jim, my mom's older sister, Aunt Kathleen, made sure their heritage wasn't lost to future generations by compiling a 29-page booklet that my mom and I printed in MS Publisher for each member of the family, including memories of the store and their life growing up and a family genealogy including a mini-bio of each adult person. It was a huge undertaking. My mom did a floor plan of the store, including their domicile and there are several pages of identified family pictures. So if it's lost to future generations, then it's not because we didn't try.
