I just received this 5J dial off eBay.  It came with a convincing looking box.  I can't find any dings or scratches although one terminal screw has some corrosion.  I am wondering about the dial plate and dial card.  When did they start using the 164A and the Area Code dial card?

Does anyone have a manual thermoplastic 302 in blue they need to get rid of cheap???

My guess would be you a have refurbished 5J.  I don't see a hole in the finger wheel,  so it looks to be the older 5J assembly, not the X cross locking one from the pre-war color 5Js, but the most common of the 5J flanges.  I have never seen a original 5J with a Z plate, but that doesn't really mean anything. Whatever, its a perfect 5J specimen I would take in a heartbeat....Doug
