No, they're different models.

We're looking for BSPs C43.291.1 and/or 473-410-100 (same content).

I believe a copy has been located and is in the scanning queue.

That's what I thought, different electronic designs. What or where is the scanning queue?

We have a group of Library volunteers who regularly contribute to the Library, all with different skills, tools and time availability.  All the work is not done by one person, so frequently one will scan a document, one will post process it and another will post it to the Library.  Each maintains a work queue and does the work on a time-available basis.

Most of us have other life priorities, especially during the summer and July 4th week, so it takes a while to go from request to document available.

We're always looking for more volunteers to help speed up the process.

Recently another type of teletrainer sold on eBay for a whopping $1425 with 6 bidders. This was the key system version, KS-21564 Business Phone Trainer. Ca. 1976.
Surely a rare find.

Wow, that's really cool, I'd love to have one. If somebody bought it here, please make a video of it or a write up of it working.

What is also interesting is the phone really went to that set as it says 'student "x.''

Tom,

BSP 473-410-100 for the KS-16161 Teletrainer is now in the Library.  Search for Teletrainer, the model number or try this link:

I was reading this thread and am wondering, are these things even still used today? I remember these in High School, but not before... Did the bell system even promote the useage of these? what do they use today? or do they??

The Bell system very actively promoted this.

Read the statistics quoted here:
  http://www.paul-f.com/Teletrainers.html

Of course, the Bell System ceased to exist in 1984.

The world is much different today, and it seems that values such as phone etiquette, grammar and what used to be called common courtesy are not as important as they once were.

Hopefully someone with elementary school age children will tell us how they learn to use their computers, tablets and smart phones.

Edit: Corrected the link.

Wow, I always think I've read everything on Paul f's website but I always end up discovering new links! Thanks

The Teletrainers page is relatively new.  I try to remember to update the "What's New?" page after making a major change.

There are a few obscure "treasures" hidden on the site for the benefit of persistent visitors.  Some can be found by studying the site map.

Does anybody know the best way to get vacuum tubes? All the older version teletrainers i've seen use vacuum tubes and maybe someone here knows a source. Especially a radio guru.

The vacuum tubes in mine are: 6X4, 6AV6, 6AQ5
Both teletrainers i've seen seem to use the same tubes.
