My first restoration

I recently thought it would be nice to restore a Western Electric 500DM from New York Telephone that my partner and I purchased in November. Its part of my growing "collection", and was quite therapeutic to work on especially as life has gotten really stressful. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure, however I'm going to take some better ones soon.

Nice project. it would be good to see the pictures BEFORE and AFTER the restoration or else, a video of the progress in accelerated would also be excellent, but it is rather rare that we see it on the forum :( . But it would be a plus.

I agree; mostly, this has been something soothing that I wanted to share quickly, but I'm learning the value of snapping a couple as I pick them up in-store.

I will show you this. A butt-sett I came across at an antique store for $10 today. It's sure a before picture.
