Title: Does anyone recognise this Candlestick?
Post by: FABphones on May 14, 2019, 12:24:04 PM
Does anyone know which Candlestick this is?
And what dial is missing?

Any info on this would be helpful.

Photos below show all the info I have. Thanks.

Western Electric.
Maybe a 151AL???
Some were brass, but I can't remember all the details.

Model number should be on the lug holder  ("perch"). Probably 20AL or 20PC. Brass ones were either painted black or nickel plated.

I agree - a later one as it has a 1915 date on it. More likely to be a 20AL at that time.

There was no dial.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I now know more because of your input.

I use the search facility on here alot but couldn't find a match. The dial holes I think threw me. From what you have said re no dial originally I now guess that this had the holes made some time later (possibly by an owner at that time) to accept a French dial. I have no photos of the perch.

I think I will let this one continue it's journey to another home.
My Candlestick search continues...

I should qualify - it didn't originally have a dial but someone might have added one later. Alternatively, it's possible there was a light switch there.
