Hello:

Would someone happen to know of a source for 22-26 AWG self-piercing spade lugs?
Something close to what Western Electric used in 202, 302 etc. series...

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Dmitri

There are sources out these. In Canada you have Old Phone Works (prices vary from source to source) for vinyl lugs

     http://www.oldphoneworks.com/spade-terminal-small-vinylpiercing-each.html

and for cloth covered wire lugs

     http://www.oldphoneworks.com/spades-large-cloth-piercing-100.html

and Radio Shack used to sell 25 in a bag for $3-$5 US. Can't remember for sure. There are other US companies that sell them and if some of the members who have purchased from them lately can add a link, that would be great.

They also show up on eBay at times.

Here is what DigiKey has (you cut the ends of the spade off for use ($0.22 each)

     http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/te-connectivity-amp-connectors/60234-2/A100675CT-ND/2233538

The do provide quantity price break points

1    0.22000    0.22
10    0.20600    2.06
25    0.17520    4.38
50    0.15340    7.67
100    0.14250    14.25
250    0.12604    31.51

Thankfully I bought a load of the Radioshack ones a while back (about the time they were going out of business, just before they went back into business) and still have plenty of them stashed away as I pretty much over-stocked myself with them... :)

I've used RS spade lugs before with mixed results.... I prefer to salvage useable spade lugs from old cords; They tend to work better for reuse.

I also have a RS crimper with 5 slots for different lugs which 99 times out of 100 works quite well.

Phoneco & Steve Hilsz are a good source for spade lugs of differing sizes.
