1st attempt at repairs

I know I am not on here very often, but I have been busy.I found a couple of items that were in pretty bad shape and thought I would try my own repair and paint.  Here is a couple of pics of before and after.

Very nice, indeed. Turned out well. What did you use to fill the missing piece and how did you do it?

I tested a few things and found Loctite 2 part epoxy was very similar in density when set up.
I used parts of a paint mixing cup to build a form on the phone and then poured the epoxy in. Let it set up, peeled the forms off, and then lots of sanding. The epoxy sands all most the same and the bakelite so blending wasn't bad. After sanding  down to 800 grit. I wiped it down and primed it with a sealer primer and then shot it with an automotive black paint.
