Hello,

I thought it was just a regular manual dial telephone but its a teletalk, as its counter sunk into the handset are these things rare? Or common?

I am not 100% sure but it appears the body of the phone is stamped Northern Telecom. Since it is in Canada that would make sense. Teletalk may be the company that installed it using thier own branded handsets.
Also for future readers it is helpful to post a picture as the eBay link will lead nowhere in a couple of months.

I tried too, but it didn't work.
