We were finally on the other end of a yard sale -- participated in a neighborhood yard sale to get rid of some non-phone clutter.

I put up a small telephone display on few feet of shelf in the back of the garage showing a few "icon" phones including a 20AL, 51AL 302 and a few more modern phones with a stack of business cards.

It was a good way to start conversations.  Several former phone company employees identified themselves and volunteered to check their memorabilia for phones and documentation - and to pass my name to friends who might also have stashes of stuff.  Others mentioned they have phones they'd like fixed or that they would like to donate.  Folks enjoyed showing the kids and grandkids how a rotary dial works.  It will be interesting to see what, if anything, comes from it.
